Hello! I am so happy to share this with you! Polka & Bloom is mentioned in this fine (UK) magazine called Cross Stitcher. So welcome to readers of Cross Stitcher!
Look, there it is! First time that Polka & Bloom is in printed media. And such nice things they have to say! Thank you, Cross Stitcher!
I think this deserves a celebration, don't you? Until 10AM Thursday (UK time), buy any single pattern in the Polka & Bloom shop, get another one for free if you mention this post! Simply purchase the patterns you want and I'll refund the cheapest one.
Here are some handy links to the patterns mentioned in the piece: Cozy Curlicues, Freewheelin', Keepin' Steady (not pictured), Marigold Sugar Skull and Rococo Sunset.

Colour class - sign up now and save!
Hey! If you're hankering for some more colour in your life in these drab winter months, why not sign up for the "Colour" class with Polka and Bloom? You can sign up right now by clicking this link. Following the link to sign up you can also read all the details about the class - but there's a wee bit about the class below.
There's no time like the present, so sign up before February 4th (that's on Friday!) and save 15%!
This 4-week class begins February 28 and runs through March 27. Once you have signed up for the class, you'll receive the link to the site for the class. Lessons will be posted twice a week, but feel free to take the class at a pace that suits you! All the content of the class will be available to you after the class ends, all the way through April 30, 2011.
The class will include an introduction to colour theory, colour wheels, how to put together colour schemes and more. The class is aimed at using colour in media such as crochet, quilting and embroidery, and other media where the use and mixing of colours do not rely on pigments. But pigment mixing (such as in watercolour or acrylic painting) can be discussed as well if necessary. And I'm happy to help with any questions you may have.
