Thank you Australian Homespun

Friends of Polka & Bloom in Australia can now pick up a copy of Australian Homespun (issue 13.3) with a pattern made especially for that magazine! And not only that, there's an interview with me!

And would you look at that, they put my name on the cover! At first I didn't even notice because I was so excited to see the spreads inside. When I noticed the cover, we were driving and I think I startled my husband slightly when I yelped "OMG my name is on the cover!" ;-)

New pattern + a stitchy competition

Happy Tuesday! Are you ready for some spring stitching? I've got just the thing for you if you are: Dandelion Wreath - the latest Polka & Bloom pattern. This is my favourite pattern so far - I think I may say that about all of them....

Really digging the colours of this one - happy and bright, and there's green! Dandelion Wreath is also part of the 2012 Pattern Subscription.

Letting the cat out of the bag!

Today is a happy day because I can finally reveal a secret which I've been keeping for the past 6 months or so: I'm working on a book! A proper go-look-at-it-in-a-bookshop (or atleast buy it from Amazon..) kind of book.

I'm so excited to finally say (well, write) it out loud, because I hate keeping secrets - especially fun and exciting (and hard work) secrets. But now it's a secret no more, yay! Just in cased you missed it: I'm writing a book! (!!!)

I can't reveal too much more about the book at this point, but the picture up there should give a small hint at where it's going. And yes, it is a stitching book! :-)
